salt smart - train-the-trainer
Who is this for?
TAC's Salt SMART Training Program allows organizations to train one or a small number of individuals at a reasonable cost at a location of their choosing. These trainers can then train operators and supervisors within their own organization on a schedule and in a location that meets their organization's needs.
What will I get out of this course?
- Assess your organization's value system to understand the particular transition that your operators/supervisors will be facing.
- Know how to use the Salt SMART Training Toolkit.
- Create a training plan that will address the challenges of your environment and the needs of your training audience (for example, determine the level of detail that will be presented to your winter maintenance staff).
What will be covered?
The preferred choice is the two-day session, which includes discussions, individual/group exercises and behaviour modelling (that is, demonstrations by the course instructor that are then adapted and performed by participants).
A one-day session is also available, but should only be attended by very experienced or professional trainers as it is very intensive and provides no opportunity for individual coaching.
