environmental management systems
Who is this for?
TAC’s new Environmental Management Systems User Guide for Transportation Practitioners, published in 2008, provides guidance for Canadian jurisdictions when making decisions on Environmental Management Systems (EMS) framework planning, design, implementation, maintenance and related costs, including operations and maintenance implications.
What will be covered?
At the end of the seminar, participants can expect to be able to:
- Describe an EMS and its benefits;
- Describe different applications of EMS in the transportation sector;
- Describe the components of the TAC EMS process;
- List significant barriers to implementation for each component; and
- Find potential approaches to overcome those barriers for their own organizations
