ABOUT US
The Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Foundation, a registered charity, was established by the Transportation Association of Canada in March 2003. The mandate of the Foundation is to support the educational and research needs of the Canadian transportation industry. There are four objectives of the Foundation – two current and two anticipated.CURRENT OBJECTIVES
- To provide scholarships to Canadians and permanent residents who are attending educational establishments which are registered charities, and who are enrolled in full-time studies in transportation-related disciplines
- To develop a program of internships and mentoring to encourage students enrolled in transportation-related disciplines at Canadian educational institution
FUTURE OBJECTIVES
- To establish or financially support academic chairs in Canadian educational institutions
- To provide funding for transportation research and development at Canadian educational institutions
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the Foundation anticipates awarding forty-six scholarships in 2012 valued at $164,500, making for a total of 269 scholarships valuing $1,096,000 since the scholarship program began in 2005.
