Exhibit Set-up

Exhibitor Contractor

Global Convention Services has been appointed official exhibit contractor. Order forms for exhibit rental requirements are included in the Exhibitor Service Manual. All orders should be received no later than September 14. Contact information is also indicated on the exhibition area floor plan.

Set-up of Exhibits

Exhibitors are solely responsible for setting up and dismantling their displays. However, Global Convention Services can provide additional personnel for a fee. Once the exhibit is set up, all empty boxes and cases must be stored.

Lighting in the exhibition area is generally good. However, exhibitors may wish to obtain additional lighting for special effects. This can be arranged through Global Convention Services; tel. (902) 425-1400; info@globalconvention.ca.

Exhibit spaces do not include electrical outlets. Full information on the cost of electrical connections is available from Global Convention Services. Contact Global Convention Services by September 14 (tel. (902) 425-1400); or refer to the Exhibitor Service Manual.

Any damage done to walls, floor coverings, light fixtures, etc. by any exhibitor will be charged to the exhibitor.

Standard Exhibit Spaces

Exhibits in standard booth spaces are not limited as to the type of exhibit equipment installed. However, the approved maximum height for all regular exhibit spaces is eight feet, including signs. There can be no exception to this height limitation.

So that the display value of an adjoining booth is not reduced, sidewalls, fixtures and other display material may be erected to the maximum height of 8 feet only in that portion of the space extending not more than 48 inches from the backwall. From that point (48 inches from the backwall) to the front of the space, fixtures, tables, counters and other display material must not exceed a height of 50 inches.

Booth Equipment

Each booth will be equipped with a standard eight-foot-high backwall and three-foot-high sidewalls, covered with (black) flameproofed drapes. Additional booth equipment may be rented through Global Convention Services. Audiovisual equipment is available from AVW-TELAV; contact Kevin Thibodeau (tel. (902) 421-8686, ext. 2152; kthibode@avwtelav.com) or refer to the Exhibitor Service Manual.

Telephone and Internet Services

Telephone, Telecommunications and Internet lines can be installed in booths at an additional cost. TAC and the World Trade and Convention Centre assume no responsibility for the security of these lines and associated equipment and can assume no liability for charges incurred by unauthorized users. Orders can be placed as follows:

  • Telephone lines and wired Internet requirements: Please direct inquiries to Bell Aliant by emailing WTCC_Events@aliant.ca.
  • Wireless Internet is available throughout the World Trade and Convention Centre, including the exhibition area. When onsite, simply connect to the Hotspot, enter your credit card information, and you will be connected to the wireless network for 24 hours. The charge is $10 plus 15% HST per day.
