Transportation: Innovations and Opportunities
GREETINGS FROM THE CONFERENCE CHAIR

On behalf of the Government of New Brunswick, I invite you to join the Transportation Association of Canada and the New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure at the 2012 TAC Conference and Exhibition, October 14-17, 2012, in beautiful Fredericton, New Brunswick.
I am looking forward to this opportunity to meet with my colleagues and industry stakeholders from across Canada. I believe we have put together an exciting conference that will focus on innovative programs, techniques and processes, as well as emerging opportunities for creating a more sustainable transportation system.
In addition to a comprehensive tradeshow, paper sessions, panel discussions and workshops, there will be several technical tours including the Fundy Trail Parkway – an engineering feat which opened up previously unreachable areas of the Bay of Fundy coastline and panoramic views; the world’s longest covered bridge; state-of-the-art highway construction; a challenging and unique bridge rehabilitation project and other innovative projects.
The feature social event on Monday evening will offer plenty of networking opportunities while highlighting the unique tastes and talents of New Brunswick, including our own Maple Blues Entertainer of the Year winner, Matt Anderson. Exciting events are also planned for the Companion Program and the Wednesday night Annual Banquet.
I am looking forward to seeing you in October to take part in the conference and to discover our capital city and our beautiful province.
The Honourable Claude Williams
Minister, New Brunswick Transportation and Infrastructure
